Invoke is a blank page with a very good memory. Write the thought however it comes out — it gets a title, the tasks get pulled out, the dates get read, and the calendar gets filled in.

Invoke asks for none of them. It reads them out of the sentence you were going to write anyway.
Three steps, and you only do the first one
Saving is a single write. Everything after it runs in the background — you are never waiting on the AI to get on with your day.
Write it badly
A blank page and nothing else. No project to pick, no tags, no fields you have to fill in before it will let you save. Just the thought, in whatever shape it arrived.
It gets read
Invoke saves what you wrote before it does anything with it, then works in the background: a title, a short summary, and the parts that were actually tasks.
It comes back organised
Todos carrying the urgency and dates you implied. Events on your calendar when the date was unambiguous, waiting for a nod when it wasn’t. Your original text, untouched.
For the days thoughts arrive faster than sentences
Turn braindump mode on and write badly on purpose — fragments, half-thoughts, no punctuation. Invoke untangles the dump into one invoke with the tasks separated out.

Dates in the middle of a sentence become events
Mention “thursday at 3pm” and Invoke spots it, resolves it in your timezone, and — if you have connected Google Calendar and asked it to — puts it there. Anything it is less sure about waits for you instead.

It reads the urgency too
You should not have to fill in two form fields to write down a thought. Priority and due date are read out of your own words as you type them — and the shorthand you used to say it is cleaned up on the way in.

What needs doing?
p1 only ever meant “make this urgent”, so it is cut from the note. “Tomorrow” is something you wrote, so it stays — and a date with no time means the end of that day, not the start of it.Search is a screen, not a field
⌘F covers invokes and todos in one list, and the query runs on the server — so it searches everything you have ever written, not the page that happens to be loaded.

You can be careless with it on purpose
Capture only works if you trust it with a half-formed thought at midnight. So every everyday path through the app is reversible.
Saved before it’s processed
What you wrote hits the database first and the AI second. If anything downstream fails, the writing is still there.
Your words are kept
The generated title and summary sit alongside what you wrote, in their own fields. Braindumps are the one place the tidied-up version is what you see afterwards — the text you actually typed is still stored underneath it.
Everything is undo-able
Delete is a soft delete with an Undo in the toast, and a trash you can restore from. No everyday action needs a confirmation dialog, because none of it is destructive.
Drafts survive
A half-written thought is kept locally until the server has actually accepted it — closing the window mid-sentence costs you nothing.

Does the AI decide my dates?
No — and this is deliberate. The model only ever reports the words it saw (“thursday at 3”); a deterministic, timezone-aware parser turns those words into an actual moment. Small models invent years and hand back phrases like “next friday” in a date field, so they are not allowed near the arithmetic.
Will it put things in my calendar without asking?
Only if you turn that on, and only for detections the parser is confident about — a day with a time on it. Anything vaguer, including anything the AI had a hand in, is written as a suggestion that waits for you.
What if I want to set the priority myself?
Then it stays set. The moment you touch a control by hand, inference stops writing to it — otherwise the field would argue with you on the next keystroke.
Do I have to use the keyboard?
No. Everything has a mouse-reachable route, including the shortcut list itself. But every screen is one keystroke away if you want it to be.
